1.       (xian)= god
This word came from China’s traditional belief. Ancient Chinese people() usually went to a mount() to meditate. Chinese people believed if someone goes to a mount and meditate, after they meditate they’ll be a god. So, that was why Chinese people wrote word god in this character.
2.       (xiao)= filial piety
This character combined word (child) under the (the abbreviated form of word that means old or old pople)element. So, the child obey and listen what’er old people(parents) said.
3.       (jiao)= to teach
In this character, Chinese people combined 3 elements, they are: ,  and .
The first element means child as the student. The second means hit lightly, in the teaching and studiying process sometimes we need to hit the child who be teached. And the last is an old man who teach the child. Why old man? Because old man have more experience and knowledge which can be shared to the child.
4.       (sheng)= holysacred
This character is the combination of (ear),(mouth),and (king). King’s ears and mouth is so sacred in the Kingdom of China in the past time. Because, King’s mouth have a power to determine life or death of a person. And King’s ear hear the information from the outside.If the king’s sence of hearing is bad the Kindom will be end.
5.       (guan)= officer

This word combined two elements, they are:
  
The first is the officer castle and the second illustrate the officer which like corrupting people’s money and use it for his own need. So, the officer illustrated have a fat stomach. Hahaha....
6.       (qian)= money
It’s the combination of character(gold),and two character(arrow). The money in Ancient China was made of gold or the other metal. And to earn money ancient Chinese people hunt animals and sell it. They use arrow to hunt them, this is the first arrow. Then, sometimes someone want to steal the money, so they use arrow to protect it, this is the second arrow.
7.       (fu)= good fortune, blessing
“Fu” means good fortune. Chinese people believe good fortune is come from God(-> show the meaning of someone or something outside the human power). It’s shown in the second part. A man is good fortune(rich) if a rice paddy () can give food for a person( a mouth/).
8.       (fu)= rich, prosperous
This character have almost the same meaning with character fu above. So, you can be a rich man if in your family a rice paddy feed a mouth.
